The Garage

The Garage is a small event space located within Little Yellow Door in Huntingdon, Tennessee. We are located right behind the wonderful Mallards Restaurant and 1822 Coffee Co. Our unique event space was previously Pete’s Body Shop, owned and operated by Pete Smith. In the design of the space, we tried to hold onto the structure’s history as much as possible. Around the building, you will find nods to the auto industry mixed with modern and vintage decor. Our indoor rental space is 1200 square feet and can hold up to 100 people. We also have a small art loft where children are welcome to create, paint, read and play. In the coming months, we hope to have an outdoor patio to create a true indoor-outdoor feel when we open the large glass garage doors. Our vision for this space is for people to gather together to create, learn, and celebrate milestones both big and small. The Garage is the perfect place for birthday parties, showers, in-person meetings, paint parties, workshops and more.

General Rental Pricing

  • $125/hr for the downstairs portion and that includes tables and chairs 
  • $150/hr if you want access to the upstairs loft as well. This includes supplies up there.
  • $200 flat rate for a 2 hour paint party where an instructor teaches 10 students. If you have more than 10 students, it will be $20 extra per student. 


You may have an hour to set up for your party and an hour to tear down with no extra charge.


Paint Party Pricing

First decide if you want an instructor or if you just want the kids to do their own thing. If you don’t want instruction, you are just renting the garage and loft area for $150 an hour. 


If you do want instruction, it’s $200 flat rate which includes instruction, garage and loft space, supplies for 10 kids. Each additional child after 10 will cost $20.


You can choose from 3 different painting theme options. This will vary for age and skill. We can discuss these once we know your child’s hobbies and interests! Kids will likely spend 1-1.5 hours painting and the rest of the time eating and playing! Parents are responsible for bringing all outside food, drinks, games decorations, etc. We have a total of 6 tables and 38 seats we can use.

  • What hours can I book an event?

    The Garage can accommodate rentals anywhere from 2 hours to full days between the hours of 9 AM - 12 PM.

  • How long should my rental be?

    When booking The Garage, you are allowed an hour to set up and an hour to tear down. For example, if you book a shower from 2-4, you can arrive at 1 to set up and you can stay until 5 to tear down, with no additional cost. If you need additional time for set up and tear down, it will be $125 for each hour. 

  • What am I allowed to bring into The Garage?

    You are able to bring in any food, drink, decorations (but no glitter please), speakers, sound equipment, tables + chairs, or anything else you need to make your event special. We ask that you abide by all local laws + ordinances when serving alcohol and playing music. 

  • What is required of me when I rent The Garage?

    Renters are required to return The Garage to its original state before leaving. This includes putting furniture back, cleaning up any spills on the floor or furniture, taking down all decorations and supplies + taking the trash out. You can use the dumpster across the street at the heating and cooling business. You will be charged $75 if the rental space is not returned to its original state.
